Mental health is important, but not all discuss it openly. What most people do is begin to read books.

But would reading about overcoming anxiety or depression help you?

“There’s a fine line between reading a book to gain a new perspective on a problem and reading a book to simply avoid the problem by it.”

The answer would certainly be ‘’It depends!’’

You can even take the help of a therapist, talk to a loved one. At times, you can even do it alone.

Irrespective of how big or small the problem is, it has to be solved, not simply thought about and analyzed.

But theories prove that, yes these books are helpful as a starting point.

Moreover, they will give you perspective on what your depression and anxiety are and everyone goes through it. They will help you only if you try to implement the positives mentioned in your life.

This is why we have chosen Underrated books for overcoming Anxiety and Depression which will change your perspective of living if given a read.

According to the writer Kristin Neff, in the world of « The Subtle Art of not giving a F*ck », one needs to find a way to plug their fear regarding self-esteem.

Neff being the first psychologist conceptualises an alternative metric for self-esteem: which is self passion.

This book gives the answer to every situation when someone tells you, “Don’t be too hard on yourself.”

This book is a perfect combination of self-improvement and overcoming your fears including stress, anxiety and depression.

Each chapter here includes Neff’s personal experiences, a few exercises for readers and his deep research and findings.

In short, much of the book is about how to treat ourselves kindly during inadequacy and failure.

The key to treating yourself with compassion when you think of criticising yourself is also mentioned by Neff here.

Just focusing on yourself in the right way helps you overcome your fears.
