1. The Umbrella Academy(This)
This show revolves around a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes who reunite to solve the mystery of their father’s death.
It is a story of this American superhero based on the comic series of the same name written by Gerard Way.
A series comprising of multiple genres starting from black comedy, drama, science fiction along with including super hero and fantasy.
It comprises two seasons along with the third one probably coming out this year, can be called a little bit steampunk and slightly noir but has a great musical score.
It compromises of a great cast none other than Tom Hopper, David Castaneda, Elliot Page, and many more, and not only this all the characters in this show and the little nuggets of their damaging past feed you, in the beginning, piques your curiosity and definitely draws you in.
You want to know it all be it : the deal with Little Miss Ordinary No 7 and their monstrous dad, No 1’s physique and what is wrong with No 6.
This show definitely is going to drive your curiosity, taking off its sweet time in stripping layers of the plot and its characters. This is the time when the show is at its best.
A show definitely worth watching, do enjoy even though at times you might find its payoff isn’t satisfying, however, the end of its style or these unsatisfying payoffs might draw your attention to the other season.
In fact, it is the style to drop off some hints of several more interesting stories, and their back plots to dive you into the other seasons.
All in all, this is a show comprising all the characteristics worth watching for your next week.
Season 3 has already come on Netflix if you’ve not watched the previous two seasons then go and watch it today.
2. Normal People(That)
This is an Irish drama TV series based on the novel of the same name by Sally Rooney.
It is a short romantic psychological drama show consisting of just one season starring Daisy Edgar and Jones Paul Mescal.
Depicting the intense beauty and torture of first love and indeed aided in no small measure is this show.
The character of Marianne is frank, intelligent and intimidating, while Connell is popular and likable, the kind of guy who lets his friends copy his homework.
In school, they cross each other and their story begins. The film is an exercise in understanding the different aspects of intimacy, which can’t be avoided when the camera focuses on the actors until it is difficult to distinguish viewers from characters.
There is a lot of romance in this film along with a lot of intimacy.
It comprises different cinematic romance along with quite an amount of intimacy.
Both the cast help each other justify their characters and the element of drama here is the most mundane of problems: self-acceptance, where they try to be normal people, but being normal ain’t easy for them.
If we compare it to the novel it is a closed adoption to which a pedantic reader can find cause for complaint, the most obvious of which is the tweaking of the finale.
That said, it isn’t often that you find yourself reaching out for the book as the credits roll, eager to experience the story with this new perspective, which is a triumph in itself.

At the end of the day, if you are looking for a comic, sci-fi and mysterious show then you most certainly keep The Umbrella on your watch list.
If looking for something more romantic then it can without a doubt be the Normal People.
